under "preferences directory opus" the text is very small in comparison to the text to the left under "name"
this text is actually very hard to read. going through many windowz and DO settings there does not seem to be a way to adjust the size of the DO PREFERENCES TEXT.
is there such a way and could you show how if there is
You can change it by increasing the system DPI. (The other fonts you're using must be increased above standard sizes, beyond normal DPI scaling, to be that much larger.)
We may increase it from 8pt to 9pt in the future, but increasing the system DPI is the only way to do it right now.

by saying "system DPI" im assuming your meaning windowz dpi settings. if thats so it is not what i want as it is an across the board change, ie affects all other programs, consequently ALL txt is too large to be sensible.

but my query is why do you initially make it 8pt which is very small and consequently hard to read, or maybe you just like being eccentric. to me it seems somewhat pointless and eccentric. why not make it as all other font sizes, ie 10pt or 12 pt
so will you make this change tonight maybe, then the world will be a better place tomorrow.
Discourse New User Tips and Tricks shows how to quote text on the forum. (There are a few different methods, but any will do.) It's harder to read your posts with broken quotes than it is the fonts in your screenshots, and I don't want to keep fixing them myself every time.
I would have thought that text in most other programs (except maybe Windows Metro/Store apps that use enormous fonts designed for touchscreens) would be as small or almost as small as that in Opus, unless you've manually overridden the font sizes in everything else as well.
Increasing DPI is what we do ourselves, and it works great across the board to make fonts in all software easy to read without having to tweak any individual programs or font sizes.
