This folder is getting a little big.
No idea whether I need to keep everything or delete some older stuff (oldest january 2012).
Any suggestions?
You can configure the size of the thumbnail cache via Preferences, File Display Modes, Thumbnails Mode.

Am slightly uncertain as to what is generally acceptable though, i.e. what effects it might have when I change
the current max cache size (I noticed it is set to 30000MB/29.2GB) to e.g. 5GB. Think the Help-file is leaving
users entirely free on this.
But, then again, maybe the volume I am having is nothing special...
It's up to you how big you want the cache (similar to a browser's web cache).
They bigger it is, the more thumbnails it can store to avoid generating them the next time they are needed.
