that. If you do not want thumbs, just switch to another view like details or the like. [/quote]
Seems not so for images inside an archive.

I hadn't noticed that. Might be due to Opus doing a batch-extract to get all the images at once, or something. Maybe that can be fixed on its own now that it's been noticed.
I'd also like to see a thumbnail creation progress bar option because right now I'm confused as to why it keeps creating thumbnails for thumbnails already created. I'd also really like an improved cache feature, more like Xnview.
Improved how, exactly? You'll need to actually explain what you want because I don't know what Xnview does.
There are a couple of reasons the thumbnails could be being regenerated. If the source file has changed (size or date), Opus will regenerate. Also, if the thumbnail generates very quickly (less than 20ms) it is not cached at all because the speed gains from caching are likely to be non-existent.
XnView, ACDSee, Picasa, and ThumbsPlus fully cache the thumbnails. When I scroll down a directory of images that have already been cached, it does NOT have to re-create or re-draw the thumbnails. Picasa does it best with it's smooth scrolling of folders and even sub-folders, but it's missing the insane features of Dopus which I love!
We've got two identical threads going now. For this issue, let's stick to the other thread where there's more information, and leave this thread for discussion of thumbnail progress bars.
