I just checked Filetags2 on my system (Windows 11, Opus 13.16.8) and those options are not reset either by restarting DOpus or rebooting Windows.
That's strange. I have checked the attributes for the scripts, but they are all on "a", nothing else. So that can't be the reason. I also tried to change the zoom level, but it also reverts to the initial state. However, after i made a copy of that file, i have edited the .js file and set both values to "true" and saved the file (i know, i shouldn't do that), the desired settings will stick. Something along the way is going wrong, when i try it the normal way.
I have also checked beforehand, if the "modified" time stamp changes, but it didn't. I guess it's supposed to change, whenever i edit the config file through the settings. Maybe it's some kind of localization problem or similar? Anyway, this workaround does the job for now. And i don't have any software (i know of) that kind of monitors changes and could prevent changes in config files.
Just saying. the same manual edit also fixes the "Esc to close" issue i had with ToolBarPalette. I have plenty of backups, just in case. Maybe there are problems with the file/folder permissions?
But i'm on a brand new computer with a preinstalled Windows 11 Pro 24H2, fully patched and i did't touch this area of settings. One possibility could be though, that i'm still using my old Opus backup files to restore the settings on the new machine, so something glitchy may have carried over. Aside from that, Opus works without any noticable flaws.
Hi.
There have been several updates on this that I haven't posted. Most notably:
-
I managed to make the command start up much faster by learning how to implement "lazy loading" for the list data. So now it launches with this kind of speed. (And in the video, it's running in debug mode, so in daily use it should be even faster).
-
I've also implemented a proper FAYT version for the command, keeping most of the UI-mode features.
But it still needs some testing. If anyone's interested, feel free to DM me.
v3.0.0 (22-08-2025) :
- New FAYT mode: The command can now be used from the FAYT field, with multiple options, full partial match support, and the ability to show all results even if they have the same label.
- UI mode filtering: The list now uses a new incremental loading model, displaying results in batches instead of waiting until filtering is complete. This makes results appear much faster.
- General improvements: Optimized code and routines for better overall responsiveness.
- Update checker: In UI mode, the script can now automatically check for updates and notify the user when one is available.
- Minor fixes and tweaks.
Have installed 3.0.0
