Total Backup

In a bid to backup 3Tb of data including many types of files to DVD I have chosen a method to use.
Stage 1 - Move files of similar like to 250mb folder
Stage 2 - Compress folder with Password protect and Filename encrypt using RAR - then delete the original files and folder
Stage 3 - Split the archive to 2.5 mb segments; really need the 2 stage compression - also deleting the Original archive and ensuring the split parts are in a folder of the same name as the archive
Stage 4 - PAR2 the files - for the best protection against data loss over time.
Stage 5 - Move folders to appropriately named folders to a maximum of 4.7GB so I can just write the disks.

Does anyone know of a way to automate this through DOpus? It's gonna take months if not longer otherwise.
TIA
Spencer

Which parts do you want to automate exactly?

Can't WinRAR split the archive itself during Stage 2 (meaning you can skip Stage 3)? I'm no expert on the WinRAR command-line but you should be able to make a button in Opus that tells WinRAR to archive the selected folder(s) into a split archive of 2.5mb chunks. (Why 2.5mb? That'll probably waste some space on the DVDs with the overhead of so many small file.)

The PAR2 tools are pretty automated and should install context menu items that you can use from Opus.

Why not use a backup program instead? That seems a lot easier since you can select the files and click a button and it'll burn a DVD with password protection and checksums in one go.
