Total Commander Plugins

Total Commander Plugins

I recall in the older versions of opus there was a plugin I think that gave opus the ability to interpret total commander native plugs.

Is that true?

I don't think that plugin was ever finished or part of any Opus release. An unfinished version may have been attached to a forum message once, or maybe the source-code was offered to anyone who wanted to continue/finsh it, but even that I'm not certain about.

thanks for the response

We did play around with the a year or so ago and we do have the C++ source for a prototype TC plugin available if you want to continue the development of it. Basically it worked but we found several issues when compiling and using the various freeware TC Plugins themselves so we decided that it was too difficult to officially support such a system designed for another software package.

But, I'll be happy to give you the source for this if you wish to continue with it and develop a freeware / shareware plugin.

Please email me directly and we can discuss it!

Thanks for the offer but I'm not a programmer.

But I did notice some usefull plugins that use the lister to display the registry, device manager etc.

Opus already does enough and does it well, but these extensions would make it cooler if they were as responsive as their native counterparts (the device manager plugin was definitely slower].

I wonder what's the situation with this cross-plugin project? If the source code is still available I may have a crack at it and see how it goes. how can I get it?
PS. happy holidays!
