Tree node rendering issue

  • I'm in my %USERPROFILE% folder
  • there are 2 folders of my interest, 'dump' & 'Desktop', they are siblings
  • when I click 'dump' to expand, for some reason 'Desktop' now becomes child of 'dump'
  • then I collapse 'dump' but 'Desktop' folder gets rendered with one level indentation, but its at same level of 'demp' folder.

enclosed screen recording would describe the issue in more details.

Directory Opus 13.8 Build 8969 x64
OS 10.0 (B:22631 P:2 T:1) SP 0.0

So far I can't reproduce this, but we may just need some more details.

Could we see the full window? For example, we can't see which column you're sorting by, which could be important for reproducing the problem.

begining of the video around 0:03 you can see that I had sorted Modified column with recent first.

initially I was on a network mapped folder then I use the 'GO' command to go to 'profile'.
moving to new localtion on the same lister window tab with same column sorted

So far, I haven't managed to reproduce it:

What settings do you have under Preferences / File Displays / Folder Expansion? Maybe those play a part.

Here are mine, FWIW:

my configuration:

by the way I see that Desktop is a shortcut in your case, but not in mine. Not sure if it has any part in this.

Thanks! Unfortunately, I still can't reproduce the problem. We'll keep an eye out for it and any similar reports.

It's a normal folder here as well. The overlay is indicating that it has different permissions to the other folders (as it's shared over the network), not a shortcut overlay.

can you try some thing like this (may be previous folder path has something to do)

  1. be on a folder path thats networked mapped
  2. now go to the path which has potential rendering problem.

I tried a few variations with a mapped network drive as the starting path, but haven't been able to reproduce it so far.
