Hello,
I experience a lot of troubles with devices using MTP protocol (it means at least all new devices from Samsung).
I have two devices connected (Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 and Galaxy TAB3 8.0 SM-T310) and at least in half of my manips to access a file (read or write) on both devices, Opus seems to hang and Windows 7 says "Program not responding, do you want to kill...". I kill Opus and the next time, it works or not...
I know MTP is not a good protocol for daily operations (especially technical), but now it is no longer possible to mount these new devices as USB storage (it works sometime with S3, but doesn't work at all with TAB3), so we have to use it.
Do you have a fix for these troubles ?
Thank you.
Regards.
Daniel.
Some Samsung MTP devices will work better if you set Preferences / Miscellaneous / Advanced: mtp_enable = False, so that Opus falls back on the system's MTP support instead of its own.
(Other devices work better the other way around. We're not sure why Samsung devices are like this.)
