I have folder thumbnails turned off atm, (wanted to see the archive icons) the only downside is the music folders are off as well, is it possible to add an option to turn them on, for instance 'Show folder thumbnails that have coverart.jpg' would be disabled/enabled depending if 'Display thumbnails for folders' is checked or not.
Turn them back on, click "adjust folder thumbnail settings" and turn off "Generate folder thumbnails from images inside folders".
I think that will give you what you want.

That’s a bug in Windows, not Opus. It happens to folder thumbnails at random in all programs that can display the ones the shell generates. Been there since Vista.
Clear the shell thumbnail cache and refresh the folder to fix them.
