Hello,
I am using v12.10, and I think it is since this built that a window pops up showing the contents of the folder over which the mouse cursor hovers. I have searched my eyes out on how to disable this behaviour and just go back to show the folder size only.
What option do I have to change to achieve this?
Best Regards,
Peter.

Infotip {foldercontents} has new parameters: SingleLine makes it show files and folders on a single line (each) instead of one line per item. MaxItems limits the number of items within each category (up to a hard maximum of 20). MaxItemLength limits the length of each item (up to a hard maximum of 260). Indent lets you change the indentation before each item in multi-line mode (defaults to four spaces), or the separator between each item in single-line mode (defaults to ", "). To get single-line infotips like they were prior to Opus 12.9.3, use: {foldercontents:singleline:maxitems=4,maxitemlength=20}
Configured under Settings > File Types > All Folders > Info Tip.

Thanks for the quick reply! It works the way you have described; but can I get rid of the infotip window itself?
Best Regards,
Peter.

The infotips are not new in 12.10 and have been around for over 10 years.
You can disable them via Preferences / File Displays / Options / Enable file InfoTips in... if you want.
