Unexpected (tab) target in Confirm File Delete dialog

Hi,

Is the icon on the Confirm File Delete dialog suppose to be "targetable" for some reason..?

You can click it, which seem to do nothing, but it closes the dialog, so if you accidentally click on it to activate the dialog for example, it unexpectedly closes it

More annoyingly, it has a tab order/target, so if you press tab once in this dialog, you get to Cancel (as expected). If you press tab again, you do reselect Delete, but the tab target selects the icon, which is a bit confusing. And if you finally press tab again, you will not get back to Cancel, which is unexpected, as the tab selector goes to Delete, which still makes Delete the active button for pressing enter.

This is on Dopus 13.12 x64, but I've seen it in previous versions, so it's not a new bug, but this time it made me delete a file involuntarily, when I expected tab to get me to the Cancel button and I pressed enter before realising it didn't, so I thought I'd report it :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

The Tab key cycles through three states: the Cancel key, the icon and the Delete key. Hit the Tab three times and the Delete key will be reselected.

I do not see the purpose for the icon being one of the states of the tab key. I suggest it be removed as a state.

Thanks! We'll fix that in the next beta.

Tab issue verified fixed in 13.12.1 (Beta), cheers!

However, you're still able to click the icon, which just closes the dialog, which is still unexpected behaviour IMHO.

No big deal perhaps, but as I said before, if you happen to click on the icon when you want to activate the dialog, it's quite an annoyance

I confirm that the Tab key now only cycles through two states: the Cancel key and the Delete key.

However, as noted, clicking the icon closes the dialog. This is unexpected and non-standard behavior. I suggest it be corrected.

That'll be fixed in the next beta.
