Uninstall DOpus 9 and save settings?

I've been tearing my hair out trying to figure out why I can no longer get my Canon Powershot SD600 camera to transfer photos to my computer. I've been turning off or uninstalling various software programs to see whether there's some conflict. (I also uninstalled and reinstalled the camera software.) I'm thinking that, though it's a long shot, I should probably uninstall DOpus 9 and see whether that makes a difference. I doubt it will, and in any event I will probably want to reinstall DOpus 9. How can I uninstall it in a way that will save all the preferences and settings that I've set?

Use Settings -> Backup & Restore to create a backup of your configuration before uninstalling.

After reinstalling use the same thing to import your backup.
