Are you using the auto-updater, or downloading the installer from the website?
Please download the installer via here and then verify the digital signatures to make sure it was fully downloaded. Double-click it to install it, follow the prompts, and reboot at the end when done.
Please also check that your antivirus is not blocking anything, as that is often the cause of the installer appearing not to do anything.
