I purchased version 10.x a month or so ago. I got a message that ver 11 is available at a discount price. I went through the process of providing my reg code and received an email with a new certificate.
I installed the new certificate into my ver 10.x and it took it, but...............
Help/About still states I am running ver 10.x.
No where was I told what the cost is.
I followed all the instructions. Never was told to download anything or the cost.
Not really anything 'wrong' - but the upgraded license is for the upgraded version of Opus. For whatever reason, GPSoft did leave the license backward compatible with v10 (which is why v10 allowed you to apply the new v11 certificate), but surely you don't think just applying a license actually updates the programs version or binaries?
You have to actually install version 11... download it from the GPSoft site just like you've ever downloaded any update for install.
As to cost... since you got the new certificate already - it sounds like you qualified for the FREE upgrade from v10 to v11, which is offered to users who bought v10 AFTER Dec 31 2013.
only had v10 for around 6 or 7 months and now they want another $44 / £24 for upgrade to v11
yeah right stuff that....................no f........way[/quote]
I bought it only 3 weeks before the Free Upgrade deadline, so I should be even more upset than you, but I'm not. Directory Opus is worth the money (as long the next major version doesn't come out too soon, then, yeah).

On top of which, you've (tinbin, not someyoungguy) mentioned a few times now over the past few months how unhappy your are about it. So I'm curious, did you ever actually email GPSoft sales - or will we just see you continue to complain in threads like this that aren't related at all to what you are upset about?
There's always a cutoff point around which ~somebody will have just bought a product a day, or a week, or a month before the cutoff date. So it can happen to anyone. You were also willing to pay for Opus 10 when you did, and you still have every right to continue using v10 for as long as you want. So you've hardly "wasted" any money... and you can probably expect several years out of Opus 11, so keep using v10 until there's a killer feature you think is worth paying for v11 in order to be able to use...
