Upgrading from DOpus 8 to DOpus 9: instructions?

Hi,

I am about to install the new version of DOpus but I don't know the process to do it, keeping all my v8 settings ?

  • Should I uninstall DOpus 8 first ? (then I need to export all my settings I guess)
  • Or can it be updated simply by running the DOpus 9 installer ?

Export the V8 settings.
UninstallV8 to remove any possible problems.
then install V9 and import the V8 settings from the option "Restore and Backup" in V9

V9 will make it's own settings file then remove the V8 registry entries and the screen will go black for a moment.

You should be able to install 9 straight over the top of 8 if you want. Doing what Noddy suggests can't hurt, though, if you want to be extra careful.

When I uninstalled DirOpus 8, an image of a DUCK was displayed :question: :question:

Well I guess that I did not uninstall version 6, then because it is the first time I saw that.
