Upgrading settings from 11 to 12

I noticed that some of my settings were not successfully migrated from version 11 to version 12.

For example, my Default Lister was reset. Transition animations were turned back on. Favourites, Libraries, and similar were made visible in the Folder Tree again. The Default Lister no longer loaded under my mouse pointer.

There were lots of little settings dropped all over the place, however not all of them.

I do have a backup of my settings in version 11 from a while back, can I just load them?

Has the way you stored these settings changed between versions, that might have resulted in them being dropped?

Few if any of those settings should have been reaet if you installed Opus 12 over Opus 11.

On the other hand, if you uninstalled 11 and then installed 12, the config would have been wiped by the uninstall.

Using the settings backup is fine.

I installed over and did not uninstall 11.

It did keep most of my settings, but it did drop these other settings.

I just tried this in a VM and as far as I can tell all Preferences settings were preserved.

Odd. I have yet to upgrade my laptop, when I do that I'll verify whether this happens again or not.
