Hi,
I have an external 3.5 USB floppy drive. Directory Opus always lists this drive twice, as A: and X: Any ideas how this might be corrected?
Thanks, Arthur

Does Explorer do the same? Maybe it has two drive letters. (Is it a U3 device?)
Hi,
Thanks for answering. Yeah, it is a U3 device. The same thing happens in explorer. It only happens, both in explorer and in Dopus, when the computer starts with the drive connected. If the drive is plugged in after the computer boots, only one instance is listed.
It's normal for U3 devices to have two drive letters. One of them pretends to be a CD-ROM since Windows won't auto-run anything off of a flash memory disk (unless it pretends to be a CD-ROM). The other letter is for the main data part of the drive.
If you look inside both drive letters you'll see they have different contents.
Ok, thanks. No need to worry then.
