how do i get rid of it and use the group i have saved as 'DEFAULT' in the above pic? thank you

Settings > Set as Default Lister will save the current tabs into the default lister, which is usually what new windows open.
The Default Lister remembers its own settings and won't be tied to the tab group itself. So if you change the tab group later, you will also need to update the Default Lister.
