Using the address of a favorite as a valiable

Hi,

Is it possible to use the target address or location of a favourite as a variable in a script? What I would like to do is copy a given file to a directory, and I thought maybe passing the favourite as a variable to a main function would simplify updating the script as the location changes frequently. It would also easy deployment in a multi-user environment as each station has is own unique favourites.

Using a Folder Alias is best for that. Your button or script can reference the alias, and the Favorite can as well if you still want to have a favorite. Then only the alias need be updated.
