I use FTP to copy files from my android smartphone to my computer. The modified date copies from the source, but the creation date is set to the time of the copy operation. This only happens with the ftp copy, not with copying from another drive. Any way to have the creation date copy in ftp?
From a quick look at old threads, Opus 10 will do it for files as long as the server supports the appropriate MFMT and similar commands, which not all servers do. (And preserving timestamps is turned on generally, but it sounds like it is if it happens in the other direction.)
If we're talking about dates on folders, not files, then that was added more recently.
