Is there any way to set the label of a button to a variable such as the current time?

Ah, OK. I have a toolbar across the top of my screen, and since the time indicator on my task bar is malfunctioning (it won't show the date when I hover over it), I thought I would try to display some combination of the date and time in the top-right corner instead. Oh, well
