View PDF without Adobe (solved)

How to preview PDF-files when not using Adobe? I'm using Scansoft PDF Converter Pro 4.

I uninstalled Adobe Reader 8 due to misc problems (printer errors, slow scrolling,...).

The MultiView plugin might let you view PDFs if you have the QuickView DLLs installed (e.g. through Yahoo Desktop) and configured as per the info in the plugins forum. Not sure if PDF is one of the supported formats, though.

You can also get FoxIt Reader, which is extreme lightweight.

I decided to use PDF Pro because it also includes a printer driver with some usefull options - I don't want to install a second PDF-viewer just to have a dll for preview in DO. Also I needed a professional solution at the office.

@Nudel: Your tipp helped, I solved it - I simple add ".pdf" in ActiveX-config. Now PDF Pro opens the same way Adobe Reader did in preview window.
