My view-size is set to "fit page" normaly and I always "reset" to that setting when leaving the standalone viewer (browsing images).
When viewing images fullscreen by "Show", the view-size is not changed and sticks to "fit page" as expected, even if you close the viewer and reopen it later. But when "Show" is used on a binary file, the view-size changes automatically to "original size" (text-viewer in this case - may be valid for other plugins as well). The next image being shown by "Show" is then not fitted to page anymore, because now "original size" is default.
