Viewer behaviour from CD

From a hard drive or a USB stick, the DOpus viewer is invoked by double click on JPG files. However, when browsing a CD directory of JPG images, the Show button on my toolbar is disabled and double click brings up MS Photo Viewer instead of the DOpus viewer. Is this a feature, and/or is there a setting to force DOpus viewer to be used universally.

DOpus 9.1.0.3 settings indicate that the viewer is to be used for all recognised pictures.

Presumably the option highlighted below is on, in which case writeable CDs are handled by Explorer (running inside of Opus) and so double-clicks within writeable CDs are handled by Explorer, too.

You can either turn off the option or associate Opus's viewer with the image file types so that double-clicks in all places trigger the Opus viewer. (Including outside of Opus, such as the Desktop.) There's a FAQ on how to associate Opus's viewer with file types.

It was the "writeable CDs" option. After switching this off it all now works as expected. I never thought to look under Miscellaneous.

Thanks. AB
