I select image in Pref/Display - Images for viewer pane. Image is display only when no file is selected, if not color appear...

Nope, the background image is only used when nothing else is displayed in the viewer.

because i don't understand why this feature exists... 
I don't understand why you'd want the backdrop image showing when you're trying to view an image.
i want to display texture image like this one...
some software can do this...
It takes all sorts I guess. 
Make sure you make a proper feature request though.
