Waiting for the DO 9 Announcement
Well, why not spend the time reading the manual?

You don't have to wait to read about the new version. You can download the Opus 9 Reference Manual in pdf now!

Thanks a lot Greg. What a wonderful idea to release the manual early... I have a question though as the release time approaches. Since most of your customer base probably isn't "Down Under", and all us nerds want to synchronize our watches to the countdown, can you tell us what office hours are for the 29th based on GMT so that we can narrow our expectations? As close as I can figure, you are about 14 hours ahead of me. A release sometime on the 29th plus or minus 14 hours is a long time.
D.

I'm beginning to see the sense of GPSoftwares previous "it will be ready when it's ready" policy.

12 more hours to go. Of course I don't expect it to be released at midnight local. But technically that is the 27th.

Perhaps by the time I get home from work tomorrow.

Can't wait typing in creditcard numbers

Does anybody know if the release will include also other languages than English (I'm German)?

I think there's support for 7 languages including German.

You're all making a very large assumption...

Nowhere does it say 2007...

Shades of Clinton "We'll be out by Christmas".

Sweet! I just snaggled it as well.

Argh! I was at Tuzla AB, was not happy when he said that. (Sorry for the misdirect there).

Man that would suck if it was 2008 :frowning:

Polish will be ready in two weeks or so.
Sorry Poles  , but lots of work lately.

Hmm - is it not now 27th down under - where is it?

Oh yeah - Hi folks - former Dopus Magellan user on the Miggy. Back to Dopus and waiting for my free upgrade, now. (only bought it a couple of weeks ago)

So, how are you all?

Steve
Hmm - is it not now 27th down under - where is it?
Yeah...it's almost 9am in Sidney. I had asked what the office hours would be, but it's been real quiet. The quiet before the storm, I suspect.
D.

Well - they're in Brisbane - but co-incidentally - it's the same time

But why is it that the Americans (and Australian Media Reporters) think that 'man' landed on the moon on July 20, 1969? In reality, for most of the world it was July 21 UTC.

In reality, for most of the world it was July 21 UTC.
Maybe because they were Americans running on Houston TX time? You do have a point though. Americans expect everyone to do things on their schedule...unless it is a much awaited software release and we can use the time difference to our advantage. LOL
D.

I was born on the 21st of July 1969 and was always told that they landed on the moon the day I was born. I was really confused later on as I was growing up to be told that they landed on the moon on the 20th of July :stuck_out_tongue: It took me a while before I figured out the reason for the disparity ...

In half the world it was the 20th.

Perhaps Jon and Greg are waiting till both halves of the world are at or past the 27th before the release?

Or (nut case mode on) Microsoft has bought DO9 and will will see it in Vista SP2.

Hi all

While I was waiting for the 27th to arrive I thought I'd join the forum! (Have been using DOpus for years and it's the only piece of software I would stay awake for!).

Just saw the 'The wait is nearly over' banner change to 'Soon...' which is really cruel!

Well, guess I should go sleep - does the first forum post on the 27th get a free upgrade??

Beth

Yanno, It COULD also be released at 11:59PM (2359hrs) at GMT - 11 or whatever is right before the International Date/Time line and still fit the bill ... :open_mouth:
