Warning about expired upgrade-license missing?!

Hello,

seems nobody asked about this? My upgrade-license expired a few days ago, but there was no warning about it.
I waited this time to see if there is a warning...

Is that intended? If you do not check manually you will not recognise it and miss further updates maybe unintentionally.
Or will there be a warning with the next update, that you cannot use/install it?

Should there have been a warning? Because you wrote "some more".
For me one warning would be sufficient (or perhaps two: One some weeks before and one at expiry date) - I did not get any warning. This time I remembered, that it will expire around january.

And bought 3 years maintenance now.

It should tell you when you try to install an update released outside the subscription period.

My license had also expired, but I haven't received any notification at all. The fact that dopus doesn't inform that the license has expired means that people are stuck with it for quite a while even though they want to continue receiving updates.

It's a not good if you miss out on subscriptions that make money for you. Maybe send out information to everyone by email and inform them about it?

Indeed. We'll add some more warnings in the next updates.

But not only in the program itself, but above all also an email notification BEFORE the start of the 14-day grace period. Thank you.

Yes, we've already done that for the future. Can't change the past, of course.

(The difference is makes is tiny, by the way. We're talking about a few cents.)

Thank you for your reply.

I would like to clarify that this is not about a few cents — the amount charged was 3.08 AUD. While this may seem small, the issue is not the amount itself, but the principle.

Transparent and explicit notification is essential so users can make informed decisions before any charge occurs.

I appreciate that you plan to add more warnings in future updates, but it would also be helpful to ensure that current users are adequately informed.

Thank you for your consideration.

What should we tell them that we haven't already?

Thanks. I hope future versions will provide clearer warnings so users are properly informed. :+1:
