WD My Book 6TB disconnecting
What about ASUS motherboards? Are they reliable? Because I see when people mention this, they also have ASUS motherboard.

What I did is that I have a cheap USB3 PCIe card. I connect one drive to my motherboard and the other to the USB3 PCIe card. For the moment no disconnects. That's why I ask if ASUS motherboards are considered good or bad?
I've had ASUS since forever, and love their boards..but I haven't had USB3 drives before I got this one.
They're generally quite reliable.

@sasa, you can't turn off their tracking completely unless you have the enterprise version.
You can't even disable their updates, although you can delay them slightly in W10 Pro.
Ads in its version of the start menu isn't really a good thing either (they can apparently be disabled per-instance, but).

This is getting quite off-topic now. Please use the Coffeeshop area for general chat.

@zodler
Just a wild guess on my part and maybe you already tried.
If not, you might give it a try as to go into Energy settings and set USB selective suspend settings to Disabled

In Windows 10 - Win-X->Power Options

Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options\Edit Plan Settings: Change Plan Settings.

Again, just an idea...
