Make sure Use system colors is checked under Prefs, Display, Colors & Fonts, Other Colors, Folder tree.
(Type "use system colors" into the field at the bottom of Preferences to find the checkbox quickly.)
Also, check the Appearance options under Listers - Folder Tree.
Finally, make sure WindowBlinds comaptibility mode is turned off. (Type "WindowBlinds" into the field at the bottom of Preferences.)
sorted, thanks.
it was the "use system colors" that needed to be amended.
I had the same problem - blacked-out folder tree.
Sorted by unchecking 'Enable this color' in Display/Colors and Folders/ Compatability folders, before I found this thread.
I had installed DOpus 9 over DOpus 8. Wonder if you are going to be hearing more complaints from people who can't see the folder tree?

Peter
I've added a FAQ for this issue.
rutetuti, hope you don't mind me re-using your screenshot for the FAQ.
Got a similar problem, but not the exact same one. In my case, the file pane choosed to use a great colour combo - pink letters with blue background. I've followed all advice, but even if I change colours , the program will revert to that combination at will.... any ideas?

You didn't follow the advice about not using pirated copies, obviously
Um... running the trial, actually.
Forgot to say, btw, that problem started after installing SP1 of Vista...
Either you have a virus on your system, your HDD is corrupting files, or you're using a pirate version (whether intentionally or not). Download the installer from GPSoftware's website and install over the top of whatever you have.
Actually, I did have a virus, win32.bagle or something, which I got rid off yesterday. I will reinstall and see if the problem persists...
Cheers
