What did I do?

hello there.

i was doing some maintenance of my files and folders - moving from one place to another. after a few minutes i noticed that all the avi files in the source folder had disappeared. obviously i was very worried that they had been deleted accidentally but i found then in a folder called Videos (which i did not create). i checked the output window and there is a move action listed where 21 items were moved into the Videos folder.

i don't know what i did, whatever it was it only selected and moved avi files - divx and mp4 were not moved.

can anybody help?

thank you

I can't think of any built-in Opus function which would do that. Could you have configured a hotkey or toolbar button to do that, and forgotten you had done so, then triggered it by accident?

i haven't made anything for moving files the only things i've made are for renaming.

i've checked every button on the toolbar but i can't find the culprit.

something definitely made a folder called Videos - because there wasn't one there before. i could understand if i'd accidently dragged some files into an existing folder - but this moved avi files leaving other files behind and created a folder for them (called Videos which the files were)

What do the renaming things you've made do?

The Rename command can also cause files to be moved into folders.

i've made buttons called -

Replace_Dot_With_Space
Replace_Underscore_With_Space
Remove_Double_Space
Capitalise

i found this on the opus forum

rename PATTERN="{dlgstring|Find in filename:}" TO="{dlgstring|Replace with:}" FINDREP

Go to /dopusdata and do a search for any file containing the word "Videos".
