The folder has 10 mp3s, I selected all of them as I normally do and Hit Enter/Return (yes I tried the other Enter key too).
it randomly picked 1 of the files and put it to play in winamp??
I double checked with vista explorer, and doing the same thing queues all 10 as its supposed to.
I rightclicked 1 of the files with all 10 selected, and the default option is set to PLAY IN WINAMP (bolded in context menu) in both Vistas explorer and Opus...
But apparently Opus does its own random thing when I hit Enter rather than doing the default (bolded) action?
I tried rightclicking in Opus and selecting PLAY IN WINAMP (bolded) and it queued all 10 as its supposed to, but the Enter key doesnt do this?
What the heck is this?........
Why was the ENTER functionality changed to do something completely different than whats set to default (bold).........
And how do I change it back?
This prog is starting to give me more headaches than vista explorer!
There's an option somewhere to control whether enter opens all selected files or just the one with focus - I'm not on a computer where I can find it at the moment but maybe this will jog Leo's memory
There is an option but it only applies to Power mode, not Details mode. Both modes can look very similar (or the same, depending on config) though so you may be using Power mode without noticing.
I'll take a bit closer of a look after I work on some scripting crap for work... but I have a question in the meantime. By any chance are the ICONS for your mp3 files NOT as you'd expect them to be?
You could also get a jump on where I might be going with this and grab Leo's FileTypeDiag utility and point it to .mp3 in order to dump some helpful info about what sort of settings are happening for mp3's.
There was an issue with the Enter key in earlier versions of Opus where it launched all the files in parallel, instead of one after another, which caused problems with some badly written programs (e.g. MS Word). That should be fixed now, though.
I installed Winamp and was able to see a similar problem, though not the same. (For me all of the files are queued in Winamp but not always in the right order.)
I made a note to look into it further but I've been to busy to do so yet.
FWIW it doesn't affect Foobar2000 (my usual music player) either.
I have the same problem as negativefusion- only my media player is JetAudio. I used D.Opus version 9.1.1.5, then tried to uninstall JetAudio and play my mp3 files with Windows Media Player. Nothing. After that I tried Foobar2000, KPlayer, Winamp and even Gom Player, every time the same result- it opens only 1 random mp3 file.
Now I upgraded my Directoy Opus version to 9.1.1.8.- only thing that changed, is that now I can choose mp3 files, and play them with right click command "Play" which in previous version didn`t work. When I press "Enter" key, only one random file will play.
