Windows 2000 SP4 Shortcut link Problem

I have been using Directory Opus since the Amiga days, but I have
recently encountered a problem.

I have a registered version (8.2.2.3 Unicode) and whenever I install it
on a Windows 2000 system (even with SP4) it seems to superimpose an
Adobe Acrobat icon over the normal one. I can provide a screenshot if
anyone is interested.

The desktop looks fine and works okay, but if I open a lister and view
the desktop, I get this weird view. I can still see the old icon
around the edges of the Acrobat icon.

I have tried to make sure that all the patches are on it, but I might
be missing one. If I reload the system with XP it works fine. I would
like to keep it as Windows 2000 because it is a legit license and I
don't have another valid license for XP.

Ever seen this problem or have any suggestions?

As was recommended when you asked this question in the Yahoo group - try installing Microsoft's TweakUI and rebuild your icon cache.

You should also update to the latest version of DOpus - 8.2.2.4
