Zip files don't work on computers without DOpus

Zip files made with DOpus don't work on Windows 10 computers without DOpus. A DOpus zip file cannot be opened. Why?

Which Zip tool are you using to open them? Try with 7-Zip (which is good and free).

Are you using encryption? If so, which mode? (e.g. AES-256 may not work with some older zip tools.)

Make sure Preferences / Zip & Other Archives / Zip Files / Enhanced compression (not compatible with some tools) is off if you want to maximize compatibility with old zip tools or thing using out-of-date zip code.

Thanks for the reply. Windows 10 has its own capability for zip files. The problem may have been using AES-256 encryption.
