500 Internal Server Error on Download

Hello All:

I have just purchased an upgrade code from DO 9 to DO 11. All went well. I am, however, getting the following error when I attempt to download DO11:

500 Internal Server Error
nginx

Any suggestions? Wait?

TIA

Duncan

P.S. Is this a user forum or a site for vendor tech support?

Does this link work, or give the same error?

cdn.gpsoft.com.au/Opus11/DOpusInstall.exe

The forum is for tech support and user discussions combined.

Yes. I still get the same error.

Not sure why that would be failing for you, but try this link instead:

files.gpsoft.com.au/Opus11/DOpusInstall.exe

That did the trick. Is it likely that I may encounter the same error downloading and installing interim updates? Thanks. Duncan

I don't know why you got that error so it's impossible to say. Let us know if it happens next time and I can try investigating further (it's quite likely to just be a temporary problem).

Duncan,

Our CDN system is a distributed CDN solution (apparently) and should deliver the files to you efficiently but we have seen some geographical anomalies. From what geographical location and prime IP address (first 2 sets a and b from aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd IP address) were you attempting to access the CDN download file?

Could you also try it again today please to see if it was some temporary network issue?

Greg: I am in USA, Alabama. The first 6 digits of my IP address (that is, the IP address of my ISP) (is that what you mean?) is 173.243. The download site, BTW, is working just fine for me today.

Does this help?

Duncan

Thanks Duncan.

It does not provide any immediate clues but we can use this information to follow-up.

It looks like maybe it was just a a temporary network outage.

That frigging nginx error. I see nginx "403 errors" when I try to connect to various sites with Firefox. If I use a different browser all is well.

Attempts to get to the bottom of it take me to pages about admin stuff for setting up WordPress sites
