Normally I compress files one by one.
I now needed to compress multiple files, with a password, to multiple 7z files - with file encryption.

Probably I am overlooking that feature within 7Zip, maybe it is there alright.
I then checked out Opus and -way- back a plug-in existed (found something in Opus v10 help file) where it says "Support for multi-volume archives "

I agree it sounds pretty much as a newbie, but from that point on it became vague for me. Not sure if the plug-in still exists, where to find it, whether it is v12.x compatible and whether it actually does what I want.

7Zip compresses multiple files into 1 single file, contrary to what I am want.

Any suggestions?

The 7-Zip plugin comes with Opus.

A multi-volume archive split a single archive into multiple smaller files, and won't help you here.

Making buttons that running 7-Zip itself with the appropriate command line arguments is probably the easiest way to achieve what you want.

(With Opus's built-in 7-Zip support, you can create one archive per file and encrypt files but doing both at once, for multiple files, would require typing the password in multiple times.)
