9.003 on WIN XP x64

a new issue occured after installing 9.003 over 9.002:
I know opus has difficulties with explorer replacement on 64 bit systems. Therefor it has been switched off. Now with 9.003 every doubleclick on folder on Desktop will open a new lister - that´s what I like, however, a new default lister will be opend es well if I doublclick on a program´s shortcut on desktop. I´d rather like to start the program then. Btw, fortunately it can be started by doublclick from the lister window - I have desktop in my standart lister, so it´s no great deal, but a bug anyhow ...

I work around this problem by making windows use single click and not upgrading until GP puts these options back in.

Come on guys except for a few problems (none of which are show stopper) DO9 works well on 64 bit. How about just placing a warning for 64bit user when enabling "replace explorer" or "double click" to open a lister instead of taking them away????

I'm not quite sure what it is you're complaining about. The problem of double-clicks on desktop icons opening Opus Listers IS the problem with desktop double-click in x64. We took the feature out and everyone complained, so in 9.0.0.3 we put it back in. Until we have addressed the x64 incompatibilities this IS how it will behave.

My guess is he didn't read the fixes. I didn't notice it until I wondered why I couldn't find the "replace explorer" option.

I personally never even noticed that bug because I run my desktop with the single click option and everything works fine that way.

Now I want the replace explorer option also returned . I didn't mind turning it off to access my control panel or to get updates if I needed.

I started with 9.002 so this thing is new for me. I have been looking for the workaround billpierpont mentioned and found you can deactivate start from desktop within preferences. This way the 9.002 behaviour is back and I have to learn living with it till you found a better solution for x64 systems....
At least shortcuts from desktop work again and if I have to do folder work, there is an opus shortcut as well

to set windows to use single click
open a folder (In explorer) good to Tool menu -> folder options
select single click

My solution is a windows setting not a DO setting.
