91 64 install after 9.0 32bit - DLL Reg errors

I have Opus v9.0 installed on an HP Vista Ultimate 64 system.

Opus 9.0 installs to C:\Program Files (x86) and everything worked except launching from desktop, which seemed to be a 64 OS issue. No big dieal.

When I attempt to install the 64 bit version, it installs to C:\Program Files.

The error I continually get is :

I've completely installed and uninstalled a couple times now and it still doesn't work.

The program runs but is obviously crippled. No desktop launch still or restore config etc.

Is this a bug or something on my end ?

Did you uninstall the 32-bit version before installing the 64-bit version? Maybe the 64-bit one cannot be registered on top of the 32-bit version. I don't know for sure, though.

I don't remember anyone else mentioning this problem here at the forums so you are probably best off talking to GPSoftware directly to see if they can work out why the DLLs aren't registering.

This was probably very obvious to a lot of people, none the less, for the rest of us, here's the solution:

After installing with the errors, I MANUALLY registered the 2 .dlls from the RUN command

regsvr32.exe "C:\Program Files\GPSoftware\Directory Opus\dopuslib.dll"
regsvr32.exe "C:\Program Files\GPSoftware\Directory Opus\dopushlp.dll"

After this, it worked fine

Desktop launch now works and allowed restore settings
