Hi, first of all, the waiting is over!! It is now very exciting to check
all the new features. I have three questions right now:
I am using a german version, but even using the new search in the options, i cannot find anything about the "bread crumbs". Where can i find them & how can i change the properties of those? For example, i´d like to change it to start with the current drive instead of "my computer".
How can i reactivate the tooltip showing pics? It seems to be lost at the moment. Right now it is only a tooltip showing text only.
Another thing is, how can i deactivate the frames around the tiles? I deactivated it in the prefenrences, but it seems to be the wrong place, since they are still showing.
thx already, now i have to go on checking the new version
Read the Opus 9 Release Notes.pdf. There should be a shortcut in the program group.
[ol][li] Open Settings Menu - File Types - Opus File Types[/li]
[li] Open the File Type you want to add the image to:[/li]
[li] Click on the IntoTip tab[/li]
[li] Ensure the that {thumbnail} is included.[/li]
[li] Add the {Thumbnail}[/li]
[li] OK everything[/li][/ol]I created a File Type Group and added all the images types to it and applied this to the InfoTip for that File type group. You could also apply it to All Files And Folders or All Files, or just the file extension you are looking for.
Q: Did you have these configured in Opus 8 and they weren't converted to Opus 9?
Thank you very much! Everything worked, i only have to read in the manual about the bread crumbs.
There is one thing about the pathbar & the bread crumbs i don´t understand very well.
Is this a feature supposed to replace the tree? If so, then why not using the hoth paths instead? To me it almost look like the same.
I have to say that i´d rather use the path bar/crumbs klicking the mouse instead of using the keyboard.
Yes it is. Breadcrumbs can branch off to any sibling folder at any point along the current folder path. This gives you complete access to everything the Folder Tree can. By contrast, Hotpaths only provides access to the folders that are actually part of the current folder path.
