Recently I exported Directory Opus to my USB stick and tried it out. I was horrified to see the colors were all mixed up and I couldn't see the lettering of the fonts on the listers, the menus, etc because it was trying to use my PC configuration. How do I reset the USB install to give me a plain vanilla settings from scratch? If I can't do this automatically...where are the settings on the USB stick to manually reset everything to its default configuration? Thanks.
Afaik you just need to delete configuration folder(s). All DO9 config is kept as XMLs.
I don't understand why the configuration would "horrify" you when the only place it could come from is some combination of changes you've made to your Windows configuration and/or your Opus configuration.
Anyway, you can reset most of Opus's preferences by opening Settings -> Preferences, then in the File menu choose Reset All To Defaults.
That will not reset toolbar customisations, but resetting them can be done by simply deleting the toolbars and restarting Opus (as Xyzzy suggests).
Of course, if the horror is coming from your Windows configuration then you'll have to reset that outside of Opus.
