There are NO buried stray windows when I do the alt tab trick...besides alt tab cannot locate stray tabs if there are none to see. In the problem I'm describing...I open the dialog box and it immediately minimizes...this is the Help About dialog box. Alt tab does not force the dialog box to the forefront. I have to manually "move" the window to see it. This behavior was introduced in the 9.1.1.2 release.
Have you tried going back to 9.1.1.0 to support that theory?
You are the only person who has reported this problem. There are no known changes to the way windows open or minimize in any of the recent updates. That suggests the problem is something specific to your machine and not caused by the Opus updates.
I'm pretty sure that if the 9.1.1.2 broke the way lister windows minimized and restored then we would have a few hundred posts complaining about it by now.
