Hello,
Is it possible to add tag columns support for .dsf music files. This file format tagging is like mp3 or flac files but the music file format is DSD instead of PCM.
Thanks

I hope that I am not misunderstood of what I would like to have. What I would like is to add columns of .dsf music files metadata like artist, album etc.
Thanks
A plugin API exists which would let someone do this, and there is also source code to a plugin which does it for other audio formats which could be used as a starting point.
We might also do it ourselves if there is more demand in the future. (This is the first request we've had, and the first time I have heard of the format.)
I have just checked in Windows Explorer all the standard fields are displayed for .dsf files. I would think that DOpus as an explorer replacement should display them also.
That depends where the fields are coming from. They could be coming from software you've installed, rather than for Explorer itself.
Where can I find a sample .DSF file to test with?
You are right it does not come natively with windows. I tried on a new virtual machine and explorer does not show information about these files. Its probably due to DBPowerAmp with SACD/DSD codec pack.
DBPowerAmp's columns used to be available in Opus, at least. It's possible things have changed in newer versions since I last tried it.
(Opus and some other file managers needs things to use the IColumnProvider interface, which Explorer has moved away from to a less flexible interface (for reasons nobody quite understands), so some shell extensions have dropped support for it, usually without realising other tools can still use it.)
In Opus, you would find DBPowerAmp's columns in the Other category, along with any others added by shell extensions.
I second this request for .dsf support. They look the same as .mp3 so why not support them? HiRes audio is taking off so please...let's bake some support in DO for this!
