Add .txt to New file type list

The "New" context menu item does not have an option to create an empty text file .txt could it be added to the list.

If I understand what you are talking about, it does for me. Also seems to have the same thing in a default configuration.

The contents of the New menu come from the registry, not Opus, and by default .txt should be listed as Bob says.

The attached registry file should restore the item for you.

Alternatively, you can use the built-in Opus command:


ShellNewTxt.zip (293 Bytes)

Added Jon's item to the registry but .txt is still missing from the list.

Does it show in Explorer?

Rebooted and new text file is in the list.
