Adding Folders to recent list manually?

Hello,

is there a possibility to add folders to the recent list manually?
They will only be added to the list automatically, if I doubleclick an item within the folder.
But most times I open the items by pressing F4 in my editor - in this case I don't get this folder to the recent list :frowning:
The same when 'opening' an item with any plugin.

Edit: I don't want use Go BACKLIST and Go FORWARDLIST.

If you turn off Ignore filesystem folders that are only transited in Prefs - Favorites & Recent - Recent List then just visiting a folder will put it in the list. Then you might be stuck with folders you just passed through being in the list when you don't want them, though.

Can't think of anything else that might help, except maybe using SmartFavorites instead of the Recent list (but for those as well, I don't think there's a way to make opening the viewer or running a command count the same way double-clicking something does).

It works :9

Thanks a lot, Leo!

I was seeking for a solution and have found it:

You can create a customized empty button with no function in the Lister Context Menu, naming it e.g. "Add to Recent Locations". When clicked, it does add the current folder to the recent locations list.

To create the button:

Customize > Context menus > Lister Context > Show > Insert New > New Button > Edit > Label > "Add to Recent Locations"

To add the current folder to the recent locations list:

Right click the lister background. Click "Add to Recent Locations". When you exit the current folder, it will appear in the recent locations list.
