I noticed that exported jpg images from AdobeCameraRaw or Photoshop look different in DO compared to WE (windows explorer).
A directly exported image from any of the two is always more dull and less contrasty in DO, but it is not looking like that while I still develop or edit it in Adobe.
If I load such an image, which looks different in DO into Lightzone (another raw-developer, image editor) and save it straigt back, it looks as expected again. So something within these files coming straight from Adobe changes the way DO displays these images. The difference is visible in the thumbails, the viewer pane and the standalone viewer.
Two examples attached, and any idea about what's going on here is appreciated! o)
Oh yes! Now that looks much more like what I wanted these images to look like, thanks! o)) The rendering is identical now to what Adobe or WE gives me.
That sRGB assumption is perfect, I try to stick to that where possible as my monitors fully support this color space.
Shouldn't this option be enabled by default or was this related to my system configuration, that these images showed up differently?
I'm not very deep into color profiles and color management, I really tried to understand and read alot, but whenever I think I got it, I suddenly realize I obviously did not. o)
