Advanced Rename question

Is there a way to automatically capture the subfolder name in the new file name using the Rename function?

Thanks,

Wayne

Hi MeaDOpus,

I'm not certain what you mean.
Could you be more specific ?

If you're refering to a zipfile that contains folders in its' root, the answer is yes, but with a C++ program.

No, what I am looking to do is to rename file names based upon the name of the existing folder. Zipfiles may or may not come into play.

Thanks,

Wayne

So as an example - if you have a file (file1.txt) in a folder called test1, you want something that would rename the file to???

We just walked through this particular renaming issue this week, read the forum.
