Alphabetical search button

Hi All
I was wondering if it is at all possible to create a single button that would change my sort order from
my default which is "sort folders Alphabetically"

To Basically no sort order at all so I can click on say size for example and sort folders that way
than one click takes me back to "My Default" as above

It would be a great help if you can
I'm currently running 9.5.6.0.3037 X64 version, but I have a license for v10.
I just never bothered changing as 9.5 works great for me

Thanks for any advice

I don't understand the question, sorry.

If you want to sort by size, you already only have to click once on the size column. What are you trying to avoid?

Hi Leo

Sorry, I thought I nailed the question

OK so if you go to: Tools/Folder Options/Display Tab
I have the "Sort Folders Alphabetically" and "Numeric Order Filename Sorting" boxes ticked
I then click the "Save for all folders and Subfolders" option at the top
Then OK and it locks in this sort order for folders but not for files of course

So what I want 1 button that will turn these settings off with 1 click
and then turn them on again with 1 click.

I know I can reset options to default and then back to custom but the problem is the "Numeric Order Filename Sorting" check box is ticked by default, I want that one off as well

It just occurred to me, Is it possible to make a tab like the "filmstrip" or "commander" tabs to do what I want or edit the existing ones to do what I want ?

Thanks
Steve

Set KEEPFOLDERSALPHA=Toggle in a button will toggle that setting for the current tab.

Thanks for the advise Leo

What I ended up doing was editing the styles in an existing TAB that I don't really use

So the end result is 1 tab that sorts alphabetically and numerically and another that sorts on whatever column you select
Works great and 1 click away, exactly what I wanted

Thanks
