Another Post Re: "~" and ALL CAPS files. After 30 mins or so

Purchased DO a few days ago after trying the trial. Absolutely in love. However I am running into that issue with all folders becoming all caps with a tilde in front of them.

I've read up on this and a lot of posts say this is a result of pirating the software, but I have a certificate that I purchased directly from the site. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did you use anything to bypass the trial period in the past? Make sure it is fully removed if so, and that your new certificate is installed on the machine.

I didn't even use the full trial period, yet alone try to bypass it.
And yes, confirmed that the correct certificate is indeed installed.

I feel like the amount of 'anti piracy' DO goes through ends up causing more harm than good.

What happens when you run the update checker?

Fully updated to current 12.29.

Does it report any errors there?

Could you please also paste a screenshot of your Opus folder? (The one you get if you type /home into the location bar.)

No errors.

Thank you, that looks normal.

Did the problem only start with 12.29? It's possible there's a bug in the new version, although I'd expect to see more reports by now if so.

Reinstalling 12.29 over the top of itself may be worth a try, but here is the 12.28 installer if you want to try going back a version before or after trying that.

Yeah, the folders are fine now ever since a reinstall. But typically it happens in 30 to 60 minutes of use.

I believe that was the only version ive ever been on.
Are there any other DLLs or registry key lists that could help with a full wipe? Ive tried using revo installer already, and then doing a brand new install with my certificate, and im going to see if that fixed anything.

If you find 12.28 worked OK again, please try this slightly modified 12.29 version.

(That version has also replaced the normal download for everyone, but I've copied to a new URL so you can grab it without worrying about browser caching issue. For anyone else reading, you don't need to download this unless you're seeing the same problem, and you may already have it anyway.)
