Any way to control vertical spacing of files in Detail View?

Is there any way to customize the vertical spacing or padding of the files listed in the detail view.

They just seem to close together to me. I';ve tried differrent fonts but nothing can get it just right?

Thanks

You could try turning on grid lines, this will increase the vertical spacing slightly.

You could also add this code to the registry (and restart Windows XP):
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics]
"Shell Small Icon Size"="32"
It changes the small icon size and the vertical spacing or padding for the list view and details view ...
BUT it also changes the pathbar icon, some menu icons, foldertab icons, taskpanel: other places icons, folder tree icons etc..

So, it works, but I wouldn't recommend it (the pathbar and the foldertabs don't look good):

You could also try the striped backgrounds posted by Garbanzo and Leo: [resource.dopus.com/t/stripes/6603/1)
