Even though the Opus devs don't personally like the image viewer clearing the image when its source object got deselected; could you provide that option for us who want it, please.
It drives me up the wall.

It's already there. Turn off:
Preferences / Viewer / Viewer Pane / Leave file in viewer until another is selected

When deleting a file it doesn't clear. I have to click on another object first.
