Automatically save individual folder setting on exit

When I access a folder and change options such as column position, ordering, details or thumbnails I have to save manually.

I would like dopus to save automatically when I change folders so that when I return to the same folder it would be the same as I left it last.

Preferences / Folders / Folder Formats / Automatic Formats

I have already activated this option but it does not work for thumbnails

And the worst thing is, if I activate thumbnails in a folder and then go to another folder, it will also be in thumbnails

In > Prefs > Opus Start > Auto Start you can set to save open listers every N minutes, which means you have a one minute minimum. That's maybe the closest you can get using automatic modes. But you can avoid menue diving, if you use something like

Set SAVEFORMAT=folder,replace

and, for example, use the Background Events function (> File Display > Mouse > Background Events) for the quickest way to save your folder options, 'one click' style.

If, for example your MMB (middle mouse button) is still free, you could use that one. Just paste in that command into the MMB field. Or use some hotkey combination. As for the thumbnails thing happening, you must have your format lock being engaged in your automatic settings, somehow.

If you're happy with that one click solution, you can just remove the automatic format in the settings and start using this solution.

What doesn't work?

There are two problems

1st If I enter a folder and put thumbnails and leave it, all other folders will also be thumbnails.

2nd if I put a thumbnail in a folder and leave it and in the next folder I disable thumbnail when I go back to the folder where I had put thumbnail it is no longer in thumbnail.

  1. Turn off Preferences / File Displays / Options / Preserve folder format edits between folders.

Make sure the Format Lock is also turned off. (There will be a closed padlock icon on the status bar if it is on.)

  2. You may have a folder format defined which matches the folder you're looking at and always displays it in Details mode.

Is it possible for me to remove the account link from my wife and put it on myself?
In other words, change the key email?
